DAY 1 – CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU

DAY 1 – CUSCO – OLLANTAYTAMBO – MACHU PICCHU
Early in the morning, around 4:00 a.m., we will begin our adventure departing from Cusco towards Ollantaytambo in a tourist transport. Along the way, you’ll enjoy the stunning landscapes of the Sacred Valley as you get ready to live one of the most memorable experiences of your trip.
Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, we will board the panoramic train to Aguas Calientes. This journey of approximately an hour and a half offers breathtaking views of the Urubamba River and the surrounding Andean mountains. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will enjoy breakfast at a local restaurant to recharge before continuing.
Next, we will take the bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Accompanied by our professional guide, you will take a complete tour of the citadel’s most important sectors: the Main Square, the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, agricultural terraces, and royal enclosures—uncovering the history, architecture, and mysteries of this majestic place.
At the end of the guided visit, we will descend by bus back to Aguas Calientes. The afternoon will be free for you to enjoy lunch, explore the town’s charming streets, or simply rest at your hotel. Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes to continue the experience the following day.
DAY 2 – AGUAS CALIENTES – HUAYNA PICCHU – CUSCO
After breakfast at the hotel, we will head by bus once again to Machu Picchu. On this day, we will explore Circuit 3 – The Royal Route, which allows us to visit the main areas of the lower sector of the citadel, including terraces, temples, and Inca enclosures that showcase the architectural and spiritual brilliance of the sanctuary.
We will then prepare for the ascent to the imposing Huayna Picchu, a hike of approximately two hours along steep and challenging trails. The effort is rewarded with unique panoramic views of Machu Picchu and the surrounding valley. This climb, considered one of the most breathtaking parts of the trip, gives you the chance to admire the magnitude of the Inca masterpiece from above.
Afterward, you will have additional free time in Machu Picchu (depending on your ticket) or return by bus to Aguas Calientes. There, you’ll have free time for lunch, relaxation, or browsing the local handicraft market before starting the journey back.
In the afternoon, we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where tourist transport will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. Arrival is scheduled between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m., marking the end of this unforgettable journey.

The best season is between April and December (dry season), when there is less rain and the roads are in better condition. January to March are the rainiest months.
- What are the coldest months in Cusco?
From May to July, temperatures can drop below freezing at night. Warm clothing is recommended.
- How to prevent altitude sickness?
To avoid discomfort such as dizziness or fatigue, we recommend acclimatizing in Cusco at least one day before the tour. You can also take coca leaf infusions and avoid alcoholic beverages or heavy meals.
