Then, you will be transferred by private transportation to the hotel of your choice, located in the historic center or downtown area of the city.

After check-in, you will have the afternoon free to rest and begin the process of acclimatization to the altitude (Cusco is located at 3,399 meters above sea level).

It is normal to experience mild symptoms of altitude sickness, such as fatigue or headache, so it is recommended to drink a comforting coca tea, rest well and avoid demanding physical activities during the first hours. Take advantage of the time to familiarize yourself with the surroundings of your hotel, hydrate constantly and calmly enjoy the first moments in this emblematic Andean city.

DAY 2: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY (CHINCHERO, MORAY, SALINERAS, URUBAMBA AND OLLANTAYTAMBO) – AGUAS CALIENTES

At 07:30 a.m., we will start our adventure by picking you up at your hotel, immersing ourselves in the history and culture of the Sacred Valley.

Our first stop will be in Chinchero, where we will tour its vibrant handicraft market and discover the ancient technique of Andean weaving. Then, we will visit Moray, an amazing Inca agricultural laboratory with circular terraces designed for the study of microclimates. We will continue to the Maras Salt Pans, a spectacular landscape of more than 3,000 salt ponds that have been exploited since pre-Inca times.
At noon, we will transfer to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the valley. Afterwards, we will make a brief stop at a panoramic viewpoint before arriving at Ollantaytambo, an archaeological jewel where we will explore the Temple of the Sun and its impressive terraces.

Then we will board our train to Aguas Calientes, where we will accompany you to your hotel so you can relax and rest. If you wish, you can optionally enjoy the medicinal thermal baths for an additional cost of 10 S/, a perfect experience to revitalize you before the magical adventure that awaits you the next day: the exploration of the majestic citadel of Machu Picchu.

DAY 3: MACHUPICCHU – RETURN TO CUSCO

Continuing with the trip, in the morning, in the early hours of the day, we will transfer you to the bus station to begin the exciting climb to the archaeological sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The trip lasts approximately 25 minutes and will take you to the majestic Inca citadel.

Once there, an expert guide will take you on a tour of approximately 3 hours, where you will discover fascinating aspects of the Cusco (Inca) culture and the ingenuity behind its impressive stone constructions. You will marvel at unique buildings, full of mystery and energy. The citadel has an agricultural and urban area that includes plazas, temples, roads, stairways, terraces and aqueducts, all supported by stone retaining walls. Machu Picchu is a true feat of architecture and engineering, and it is no wonder that it is considered one of the 7 wonders of the world.
