The excursion begins with a transfer from the hotel in Cusco to the train station located in the town of Poroy. From there, travelers board the tourist train bound for the town of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), on a scenic journey of approximately three and a half hours.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, an assigned guide will be waiting to accompany visitors to the bus station. The ascent then takes place along a winding road leading to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, also known as the Lost City of the Incas, one of the modern wonders of the world.
Entry to the archaeological complex is made after passing the official checkpoint. The guided tour then begins through the most emblematic sectors of the Inca citadel, such as the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the funerary areas.
