Cusco – Pitumarca – Santa Lucia – Waqrapukara – Return to Cusco

We begin our tour early with pick-up from your hotel between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. in our tourist transportation. Once the group is complete, we embark on an approximately three-hour drive to the town of Santa Lucía. Along the way, we will make a stop in Pitumarca for breakfast and to prepare for the hike.

Upon arrival in Santa Lucía, we will take a detour and travel 15 minutes along a winding road to Punta Carretera, where the hike begins. Here, we will have 10 minutes to get ready and make final preparations.

Our hike starts with an ascent of approximately 2.5 km (about 1 hour and 30 minutes), passing through stunning Andean landscapes and unique rock formations. Upon reaching Waqrapukara, our guide will provide a detailed explanation about the history and significance of this Inca archaeological complex.

After the guided tour, there will be free time to explore the site, take photographs, and enjoy the surroundings. Then, we will share a delicious box lunch surrounded by this spectacular landscape.

Finally, we will return to Punta Carretera, where our transportation will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. Arrival in the city is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., concluding a day full of culture, adventure, and unforgettable scenery.
